"We decided to leave Hanley & Co services after being seriously disappointed with their service.

We actually employed them for two of our accounts and this was thankfully the least affected.

The quotes provided for their retainer based service do not stack up on an hourly rate of £180 p/h. So if you decide to pursue a quote with this company, compare the retainer rates based on the above. It won't result into too many hours work. They will no doubt gladly charge you extra at the end of the year. To note they wrote our extra fee's off when we made a formal complaint and raised the case with the ICAEW.

We are currently in a complaints process with the ICAEW body, but current feedback is that they protect their members more than protect the public. We are truely shocked as to the lack of support it provides for the end users, the general public. Prior to our involvement with Hanley & Co Ltd, we thought a chartered qualification was equivalent to an architect, doctor etc. This was not our experience.

The main concern for this account was that upon instructing Hanley & Co that we were not satisfied with the service and to cease and desist on all matters of the accounts for this and our other business engaged, they then tried to access the accounts program we used. We had changed the password prior to the instruction, however for a profession such as this, it was not what I would call professional to even try."
